The Cauldron® Philadelphia

By making a reservation at The Cauldron® Philadelphia, you agree to our reservation and cancellation terms.  We wish to thank you for your understanding and co-operation and look forward to welcoming you to The Cauldron Magical Experience®. The Cauldron® reserves the right to change these Terms and Conditions at any time.

All purchases are final and non-refundable.  Your debit/credit card details are required for all purchases. These details will be held in a secure PCI-DSS compliant vault.  There is a payment processing fee charged per-ticket at the time of payment and VAT/sales/local tax is charged at the time of ticket price.  In some jurisdictions this is included in the ticket price and in others it is added to the ticket price at the final stage of purchase.  For clarity, in the UK and Ireland VAT is included in the ticket price and in the US sales tax is added at the final stage of purchase.

Unfortunately we are unable to hold unconfirmed reservations that have not been paid in full.  A booking is not confirmed without a booking confirmation email.

The Cauldron® relies upon bookings being honoured by our guests or sufficient notice being given of any requested changes to reservations.  We will send you a reminder email 48 hours prior to your booking using the email you used to initially book the tickets.  The Cauldron® is not responsible for an incorrect or misspelled email provided at the time of booking.

Bookings may be rescheduled if the guest has established contact using the digital contact form on our website (https://thecauldron.io/contact/support) at least 48 hours before the start of the scheduled reservation.  Contact made by other means has no guarantee of reaching The Cauldron® and is insufficient for rescheduling a booking. All re-booking dates and times are subject to availability, which can be checked using the booking calendar shown on the venue’s webpage.  The Cauldron® is not responsible for unavailable booking dates and times.

Bookings may be moved from a higher-cost ticket slot to a lower-cost ticket slot, however no partial refund will be issued.  If a booking is moved from a lower-cost ticket slot to a higher-cost ticket slot then the customer will be required to pay the difference in price in advance.

Reservations have no eligibility to be switched with other venues around the world or with other concepts, pop ups or establishments, either partnered with The Cauldron® or not. Your reservation will only be relevant and valid to the venue it has been made with. In case of error the customer must contact our support channels via our website (https://thecauldron.io/contact/support) at least 48 hours before the reservation is due to begin.

The Cauldron® cannot be held responsible for a lack of availability for any ticket type if it does not apply to the time and date a customer would like to book. There is no obligation from The Cauldron® to supply any specific ticket type upon request.

In purchasing any ticket type, the customer accepts that they have read and understood these terms and conditions and the terms and conditions relating to their specific ticket type, and have good knowledge of the product they are purchasing.  The customer acknowledges that they understand what the ticket type will entitle them to upon arrival. The responsibility purchasing an incorrect ticket type from what the customer would actually like to receive lies entirely with the customer, provided that the following four conditions are met by The Cauldron®:

  • There is literature and a description of the event, promotion or ticket type available for public view somewhere on thecauldron.io domain.
  • The ticket type is listed in these Terms and Conditions.
  • The ticket type is stated in the confirmation email received upon booking the reservation (provided a confirmation email was correctly received to a correctly entered email address or an email going to spam or promotions).
  • The ticket was purchased directly from thecauldron.io domain rather than from a third party vendor.
All Ticket types may be available for a limited time only.

As most ticket types and experiences are time-restricted, any ticket purchased is only valid at the exact date and time agreed and ceases to be valid once that specific time slot has passed, regardless of successful attendance. In purchasing a ticket the customer agrees that the product will be available at the time, date and location specified and that responsibility for failure to attend said product rests entirely with the customer.

To enjoy any full reservation we ask that customers arrive on time.  If customers arrive late to their booking, the table will be available until the booking is scheduled to end (unless otherwise specified in their ticket type).  We recommend you give us a call to let us know so we can do our best to prepare the equipment for an abridged lesson.

In the event of a late arrival, no reschedule or extra time may be made available and aspects of the full experience may be missed if time runs out on the customer's reservation.

You may be required to provide proof of purchase upon attempt to redeem any tickets or reservations made. The best way to do this is to show a confirmation email or other written correspondence from our own support channels. As a result you should avoid forwarding your confirmation email or communication to external parties.

The Cauldron® Magical Pub & Experience involves the use of our “working magic wands,” which will be provided per group booking or in some cases, per guest upon arrival. These objects are a rental and must be provided back to the venue at the conclusion of your booking.  We may require a debit/credit card to rent a magic wand, and that card will be pre-authorized at the time of the wand rental.  Your card is charged automatically for any damage or breakage (deliberate or not) caused to the magic wand. In the event of a skipped bill, the card is charged for the entirety of the bill plus a missing wand fee. There is a $20/£20 fee for broken or damaged wands and a $50/£50 fee for missing wands.  Broken wands remain the property of The Cauldron® and must be returned to the staff or a missing wand fee is applied.

Our “magic wands” are not really magic, but an interactive item with embedded technology inside of it.

You will be sat at the same table as the other people in your party or for larger groups, across multiple tables.  If spread across multiple tables, every effort will be made to seat those tables near each other.  You may also be sharing a table with another party who you do not know, while working at separate workstations.

Customers who purchase tickets separately (have different Booking Confirmation Numbers) have no guarantee of being seating together.  If you are linked to another group in the same booking slot, please contact us by using the contact form on our website (https://thecauldron.io/contact/support) and we will do our best to seat your parties at the same table or as near to each other as is possible.

Most experiences that include the service of drink will come with alcohol as standard unless the ticket type specifies otherwise or patrons are: not of legal age/are unable to provide proof of legal age; specify that they would like to be served non-alcoholic substitutions; are refused service for whatever reason on the day.

The purchase of the ticket entitles the customer to an experience rather than access to alcohol. As a result, all experiences can be carried out to the same full-level of quality and participation with the complete absence of alcohol if requested.

We reserve the right to remove or refuse entry to any person who is disruptive, aggressive, intoxicated, uncooperative or rude to our staff or other guests.

Any attending customer who appears to be intoxicated, may not be admitted or may be removed from the premises at any time and no refund or reschedule will be offered.

Any attending customer who behaves aggressively or is perceived by management to be behaving aggressively, may be removed from the premises at any time and no refund or reschedule will be offered.

If you are dissatisfied with your experience, we would encourage you to be in touch with our support team via the contact form on our website (https://thecauldron.io/contact/support). Should communication reach the point of requesting a refund or reschedule, please note that any offers or guarantees (verbal or written) made by on-site staff do not serve as sufficient covenant to warrant a final outcome. Any such decision will only be confirmed in writing from a customer support channel following investigation, which will include a recommendation from the on-site staff in question. Decisions made by online support channels will be in-line with relevant Terms and Conditions and will be final. No refunds of any kind will be made available at the venue in the form of cash or credit.

During the course of government mandated restrictions and prohibitions due to the Global COVID-19 Pandemic, The Cauldron® will operate entirely within the adjusting guidelines at all times, in order to provide a safe environment for customers, staff and the wellbeing of the wider community and our staff.  This could include but is not limited to measures such as proof of vaccination for entry, required face masks for entry and movement around the venue, temperature reading coupons arrival, contact tracing, social distancing and hand sanitisation.

Furthermore, all experiences and interactions taking place have been individually assessed to continue this position, and social distancing may but is not guaranteed to be in practice around the venue. In purchasing a ticket or entering the venue, all customers are agreeing to respect and act within the guidelines at all times in order to have their reservations and purchases fulfilled. Deliberate or gross infringement upon any guides set out, could result in the reservation and/or experience being terminated at any time and not being refunded.

Due to the situation arising from COVID-19, we have implemented additional health and safety measures that are in line with recommended government requirements and recommendations.  In purchasing a ticket to The Cauldron® and/or entering our venue, you are also agreeing to follow these measures.  Failure to do so may result in a denial of entry or a removal from the premises.  These measures will change as guidance and directives from the government change, and may include but are not limited to:
  • Proof of vaccination.
  • Maintaining the appropriate social distance as requested by staff.
  • Wearing masks and/or gloves at all times inside the venue.
  • Wearing masks and/or gloves at times when you are not seated.
  • Temperature reading at the door or within the venue.
  • Required hand washing and/or hand sanitisation upon entry.
If you appear to be unwell with COVID-related symptoms (including failing of a temperature reading) you may be asked to leave the premises or refused entry. Under these circumstances your reservation may be rescheduled to a later date, regardless of the 48 hour restrictions included in our “General Terms and Conditions”.

Additionally if you are hospitalised, require medical attention or are forced to self-isolate due to a COVID-related illness or exposure, then your reservation may also be rescheduled regardless of the 48 hour restrictions included in our “General Terms and Conditions.” Please note that  evidence of formal notice may be required to validate this.

If you are part of a group, only the affected individual may receive a reschedule. On-site management will advise how to proceed, but please note that any final decisions will be made in writing by customer support channels only. Verbal offers or guarantees made by on-site staff do not serve as sufficient warranty for reschedules or refunds, and no refunds of any kind will be made available on site in the form of cash or credit.

COVID-19 Terms and Conditions do not extend to other illnesses or incidents unrelated to COVID exposures . In any non COVID-related situations, “General Terms and Conditions” will apply.

If you are ill and have a booking at The Cauldron®, please contact us via the contact form on our website (https://thecauldron.io/contact/support) and DO NOT attend.

In purchasing a ticket to The Cauldron®, customers agree that they are purchasing a ticket to an experience and that the choice to consume alcohol on-site is entirely their own. In purchasing most ticket types, customers will gain access to attend their chosen session.  In that session, a limited amount of alcohol may be made available (unless otherwise specified in the terms of your ticket type).

If a customer chooses not to consume or interact with or consume alcohol, a full “magical experience” will still be provided to the same quality as would have been with alcohol present. As a result, no discounts are made available for persons who do not consume alcohol.

The Cauldron® reserves the right to change these Terms and Conditions at any time.

For our Potions Experience, we may offer Super Peak, Peak, Off Peak, Student, and Child (as defined by different age or current student criteria) tickets at different times and days, which are updated on the venue and experience’s webpage.

We will routinely change these days and times to adjust with the local market and events, and the booking calendar will automatically display the dates and times that these ticket types are available.

The Cauldron® reserves the right to change these time and date designations at any time.

The Cauldron® Philadelphia is located at 1305 Locust St, Philadelphia, PA 19107, USA.

Please note that no extra time, allowances or reschedules can be made for attendees arriving at an incorrect venue and losing time on their booking as a result. The Cauldron® also cannot be held responsible for incorrect address information supplied by external parties, e.g. Google, Google maps, Apple Maps, City Mapper etc.

When making a reservation at The Cauldron®, customers may have the opportunity to pre-order products during the initial online booking flow, via an online link from the venue website, over the phone, or via a link supplied on their email communications. The pre-order feature may be used until 1 hour before the scheduled start time of the booking.

These items come in the form of additional drinks or merchandise. The stock of any given item on the day of arrival cannot be guaranteed, however best efforts will be made to ensure availability and in almost all cases will not be problematic.

In the case of any product having not been received that was paid for, the customer should notify the manager on duty and contact us via the contact form on our website (https://thecauldron.io/contact/support) for a refund. Please note that under no circumstances will a refund be made available on site in the form of cash or credit.

Customers with pre-orders or add-ons that have not been fully paid for cannot be guaranteed an online discount.  The pre-order discount may not be extended to the drinks ordered inside the venue.
